This is a problem we all deal with from time to time in our lives. Feelings of inferiority or inadequacy, of being unable to measure up to the standards we have been taught we must measure up to. For some of us brought up in very strict belief systems it seems a never-ending struggle to be “good enough.” The harder you try the farther you seem to fall from the acceptance and approval you seek.

Is there no hope? Are we doomed to never reach the bar that has been set for us? I am here to tell you, there is hope, and you are not doomed to failure unless you choose to take that perspective upon yourself.

Many of us have been taught since before we can remember that we are flawed and imperfect in our nature; that we are unacceptable as we are. One example would be the belief that through no personal fault of our own, we have fallen from grace, due to events that occurred long before we were born. Now each belief system has their own reasons for our imperfections, along with their own remedy for the problem. I am not here to say who is correct or incorrect in their perception. Beliefs are very personal, and serve their purpose ultimately in our evolving spiritually.

We must each find our own path as best we can to the answers that we seek. While each persons journey is their own creation; I believe we are meant to help each other along the way. For we are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, and to share our Love and Light, lest we stumble in the darkness of our own intrigue.

Back to the original issue here, how can we deal with this insufferable issue of feeling and believing that we are not good enough, that we do not measure up?

Let me tell you the answer I heard as I struggled with these same issues. “With God, all things are possible,” for God is present in every Being, and ever inspires mankind to look up towards our true home. Love is only the answer to every problem that we face. For God has inspired mankind throughout the centuries; and this Divine influence can be felt in every faith. Love will be found by every sincere seeker of truth. For  once again, Love is the only answer to every problem we face, and Love is the greatest truth ever expressed in any realm of existence. How do we reach this Love? How do we bring it into our experience? It is through Forgiveness that Love is reached. For Forgiveness is the sister of Love, it crosses the bridge of our perceived separation, and brings us into Love’s embrace.

Here is a quote by Gerald Jampolsky from his book Love is Letting Go of Fear; that helps illustrate this concept.

‎”Through true forgiveness we can stop the endless recycling of guilt and look upon ourselves and others with Love. Forgiveness releases all thoughts that seem to separate us from each other. Without the belief in separation, we can accept our own healing and extend healing Love to all those around us. Healing results from thoughts of unity.”

God the Great Creator of us all has provided the solution. We each have these sets of standards we have been given to cause us to reach out and grow, as we experience that which we are. Often to understand what we truly are, we must first experience that which we are not. For without the one, the other could not be fully realized. While going through this process we can become confused, and forget that which we are. We begin to think we are that which we are not. This false perception of ourselves, creates the feelings of inadequacy and inferiority within our experience. Forgiveness gives us the opportunity to release all that we are not;  all that is false about both ourselves, and others. Forgiveness is the ultimate cleanser, to bring us back into unity with our true nature, which is Love.

Simply put, we came here to experience all that is, so that in we might understand who we truly are, and who we are not. Forgiveness frees you of all that you are not, and brings you back to your true self, which is love. God is love, and we are made in Gods likeness, thus we too are Love.

Not only are you Love, You are also deeply Loved, as Love always embraces its own. “For Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preservers. Love never fails…And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is Love.       (1 Corinthians 13)

Do not lose hope, have faith in yourself, and always Love God, yourself, and all others. When events occur that bring separation between you and Love, remember Forgiveness is the bridge back to Love’s unity.

Namaste, May Loves Light shine ever bright within your Being.

On this eve of the winter solstice, with its celebration of the return of Light after winter’s longest night; I wish to contemplate with you, how significantly light symbolizes love in our lives. For even as every plant and creature that calls this Earth its home must have the Sun‘s light to live, so must we have the light of love within us if we are to live and thrive.

Even as the Mothers night is wrapped in darkness and mystery, for some a time of hope and honor for all Mother‘s everywhere. With the coming dawn a happy celebration of  love’s light; when found within our hearts love will bring us  life, warmth and joy. For without love there can be no light in our hearts and minds to guide us on whichever path we choose to take.

A life without love is devoid of life and light. Choices we make each day in what we think, do and say will either bring us closer to love’s healing light, or farther from its site. In considering what the track or mind-set of love is let me share some thoughts with you from don Miguel Ruiz’s book; The Mastery of Love.

In order for the logical mind to understand the difference between fear based choices, and love based choices; don Miguel Ruiz, describes the track or mindset of Love this way; “The track of love has no obligations to escape, love has no resistance. Everything you do in love becomes a pleasure; its like a game, and we have fun with it.” “Love has no expectations, nor does love take anything others do personally. That is why hardly anything hurts us when we are in love; we aren’t expecting that our lover will do something hurtful, and we have no obligations.”

“Love is based on respect. When we show respect for others, we allow them to make their own decisions, we do not attempt to control them. Love has compassion, but does not feel sorry for anyone, as that is showing disrespect. Love is completely responsible. Love is always kind. That kindness makes you generous and opens all the doors.”

“Love is unconditional. I love you for no reason, with no justification. I love you the way you are. We do not have the right to change anyone else, and no one else has the right to change you. In the track of love there is justice, you only have to pay for your mistakes once, for every act has its consequences. Love will not repeatedly bring up past mistakes to beat you with their memory.” (paraphrased from The Mastery of Love by don Miguel Ruiz)

In his book “Love is letting go of Fear, Gerald G. Jampolsky says; “Throughout the day, whenever you are tempted to be fearful, remind yourself that you can experience Love instead.”

As we approach winter’s longest night if viewed from the track of love, it’s dark mysterious depths can be viewed as symbolic of  the birth place of creation; whose wonders take place hidden from our sight.  My prayer for you this Mother’s night is that you will all remember that you are Love and Light. Let your lights shine ever brighter; thus bringing more love into the world, even as the morning sun awakens joy and hope as the new day is born.

Next to love, balance is the most important thing. John Wooden

So divinely is the world organized that every one of us, in our place and time, is in balance with everything else. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. Robert Fulgham
Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.Thomas Merton
Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them. Thomas Kinkade

My Thanks to Essential Life skills.net for these wonderful quotes on Balance.

In Deepak Chopra‘s book Perfect Health, he states; “As the balance of forces change, life changes. In the case of human beings, environment can be chosen and controlled, which gives our lifespans enormous flexibility. When we speak of perfect health, we are proposing that the dynamic balance of life can be tipped to our advantage.”

To achieve balance in one’s life Spiritually, is to reach that beautiful metaphysical shore where Love, Joy and Harmony abound. To reach a perfect physical balance, one will create perfect health on every level; from the quantum physical body outward, to the physical manifestation of yourself on the earth plane.

Balance is of the utmost importance in every level of our existence. For the individual balance is the key to health, happiness and prosperity. Conversely individual imbalance leads to poor health, followed by disease and even in some cases poverty.

Personally, as I view my own life and the various decisions and resulting circumstances I have created for myself, I can see how fear based choices always resulted in imbalance or negative consequences both to myself and those around me.  While Love based choices have brought me much good or balance in my life. This included opportunities to love, and experience joy, peace and the provision of physical necessities. To live in Love is to live in harmony or balance with the Divine, and to trust that your needs will be met. When put into practice this balanced state of mind has many positive benefits. In the track of Love you will find peace, tranquility and joy in abundance. You will be able to fully accept yourself and others. You will see that your true nature is love, and that same Divinity is present in every living being.  In the track of love you will find no sorrow, no judgment, no superiority, no guilt or blame. You will find only that which is good, and pure and true and noble.

“1If I speak in the tonguesa of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,b but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13

To live in Love is to live in balance. For one cannot be balanced without Love.

For society its level of balance, or the level of love they express; will determine whether or not the group will continue to exist in its present form. Imbalance or the lack of love; in society creates chaos and eventual decay, which will lead to destructive changes occurring.

For society to be balanced the majority of  individuals which compose the collective unit must be in balance. Many examples of a society out of balance can be found both in history and in our world today. For example historically speaking the Native Americans achieved a very high level of living in harmony with Nature. Their life style was in balance with our mother Earth. They showed their love for the Earth by only using what was needed, while leaving all other resources intact. Theirs is still an excellent example of how to live in harmony with the earth and do no harm to ones environment. Their only imbalance was in that they failed to live in harmony with one another. They like our society today, failed to live with love for one another. Although individuals, family’s and tribal groups did take care of each other and express love within their group, for the majority there was no love or sense of unity outside of the many smaller groups.  The Iroquois were one small exception to this. They saw what was needed, a spirit of unity and oneness to prevent the incoming division from occurring. They attempted to correct this imbalance, but had to few in agreement to create the needed change at that time.

This imbalance, this lack of love and unity tragically helped to create the opportunity for destructive changes to occur, with the arrival of the white man. Unfortunately for all, this led to much tragedy and exploitation of both resources and human lives.

Our present society is very out of balance as well. We not only fail to live in harmony with the earth and each other, we also are poisoning our Earth, and our bodies at an unprecedented rate. If we do not correct our imbalances soon, we will not only lose our way of life, we will lose all hope of any life existing on this earth plane for a very long time.

When considering such a bleak outcome one may feel as if there is no hope. This my dear friends is not the case, quite yet.  Remember, as long as there is life, there is hope. Although we are not able to change everything at once, we can each begin as individuals to make changes in the way we think, and the way we do things, so that our lives become more and more in harmony with the earth, and each other. If each of us will choose each day to do no harm, and to do only that which is right we can begin to create balance. If we will begin to love ourselves and each other equally; as fellow creatures of the Divine Being who forms us all, we shall create hope. For it is all of us as individuals who make up society as a whole. When any one of us makes a positive change for the better, it improves the balance for everyone here.

Seek the path of Love, Respect, Compassion, and Kindness towards all living things. Begin with yourself, then you will be able to project the Love and Light that is needed to heal our world.

To walk quietly amongst the trees, breathing deeply of their fresh cool scent, and listening to the breeze sighing softly through the leaves is truly one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy on this earth.  But why might you ask would I consider conversing with them? Well, there are many good reasons to do this, and as any Native American could tell you, every plant, every rock, every living thing has a life force, an energy or vibration; a spirit if you will, that is consciously observing all that takes places in its surrounding area. The Earth is very much alive, she is our Mother, and should be respected and cared for as such.

Now back to my thought, of conversing with trees, why would anyone desire to do this. For one thing they are very good listeners, when you have something on your heart you wish to discuss, trees make wonderful companions, they will listen to all you wish to say. When you are finished speaking with your tree friend, remember  no conversation is complete without both participants speaking. Trees do talk my friend, if you are willing to open your senses and listen with your heart, there is much they could teach you. Every plant, every rock, every animal has something to say for those who will listen and calmly observe them long enough to understand their way of communicating. I will not divulge on their secrets, as that would be betraying a confidence held between friends. I may tell you that if you take the time to learn their ways, it is well worth the wait.

I know the white man does not normally consider the things of nature as anything more than resources to be used. This is a very sad misunderstanding of the earth and her ways. I hope one day the time will come, when we learn to live in harmony with each other, and with every living thing our Mother provides.

Peace to you all, may you find your path, and may it lead you to your true home. Blessings to all, from the Great Earth Mother, and our Great Father within the Heavens. We are all children here together, learning, ever learning, and always yearning for more. Namaste.

I once had a friend question me, in regards to my UniFaith page, as to what I personally stand for? What do I believe? she said “I had to stand for something.”

I replied that “I stand for Love.” My friend could not understand how I could be so open to so many different faiths, and not belong to any one of them. Her question brings much to my mind, but I will stay focused here on the question at hand to the best of my present abilities. I shall begin with an illustration.

To one who lives in a box, it is hard to see what is outside of the box, not that it is wrong to be in a box, many people find it serves them quite well, and it is far more comfortable and except-able to others who live in boxes to be able to see that you do as well. There is something about a box that gives a sense of stability, four walls you can count on being there. You have your beliefs laid out for you, they do not change, it is a very secure environment. I once lived in a box, so I know how it feels.

I have tried living in many different boxes since my original one fell apart. I liked some things about all of them, but did not find one I liked everything about, or felt fully in tune with. Though I now choose to live outside the box, I am not without beliefs or spirituality. I have both, though honestly I also have loneliness and sometimes feel as if I am in a vacuum with nothing below me, above me or on either side. I am in a very open place. It can be frightening and it can be beautiful. It depends on the perspective  I choose to take each day. I prefer the beauty, and to illustrate my experience while living outside of the box; I shall give you this metaphorical example. I have looked around me, and seen a vast field of colorful wild flowers in bloom, bordered by lush green forests as far as the eye can see on one side; and on the other side an endless ocean with vast stretches of beautiful beaches to wander upon. The incredible beauty and diversity of this creation has much to say for those who listen to the wind singing softly among the trees, punctuated with bird songs, and bees visiting flowers nearby. I love to walk along the beach and listen to the soft lullaby of waves caressing the shore, amidst the staccato crying of gulls overhead. I breathe deeply of the salty air, and feel renewed, refreshed and invigorated.

There is so very much in nature that can be learned to enhance your physical and spiritual well-being here in this life. The Great and Awesome Spirit who made heaven and Earth and all that is, finds many ways to reach us, in ways we can grasp and fully understand, in our language and culture. The Great One has done this for all time, and has sent many chosen Ones to reach us with clearer pictures of this Great Love that is within us, and all around us. Each one has expressed this beauty to the best of their abilities. They have attempted to present the messages of Love, in a way that the rest of us might understand. Due to cultural perceptions each message was shaped by the culture and beliefs the messenger already had. This I believe has created the vast plethora of Spiritual beliefs that we have on this Earth. Not that the message was any different as it came, but the receivers each perceived it according to their own cultural background, and presented it as it was best understood by both themselves, and their peers at the time.

I am not suggesting here that anyone leave their box of preference in regard to your personal beliefs. You should never do so, unless that is what you want to do, and you are ready to take that leap. As all I am suggesting within the context of UniFaith, is to peek out, and see your neighbors in a new light of understanding. See that we all are crying out to the same Great and merciful One. Each one cry’s out in their own way, just as every Mother knows her child’s cry; so does our Maker know the cries of all His Children. For, it is the Maker of all, that hears and answers every cry the heart makes. For what is prayer, but a cry from the heart, to the Great Maker of Heaven and Earth?

Now as to what I stand for? What do I believe. I believe in Love, I believe in Compassion and Kindness. I believe in Respect and Honor. I believe in the wondrous cleansing power of forgiveness, and the restoration of spirit that gratitude brings. I Believe in the One Great and Awesome Being who formed all that is. I believe my true form is kept safe within the Great Awesome Loving and Merciful One; who I trust. I Believe this Great One; will always reach all people everywhere, with the message of Love. I believe all who choose to live by Love, are choosing The Great & Loving One; known by so many names, for God is Love. Other things I hold sacred as well, but they are personal to me, and kept between my maker and myself.  I trust all that is sacred to you, is between your maker and yourself, as well it should be. No one has the right to dictate to another what they should believe.

Namaste, my friends, All Love to you, as it is yours to begin with. You are Love, when you remember this all else will fall into place. Let your Love Light shine. <3<3<3

Encourage Fluids

After a resent surgery I was reading the post operative instructions upon returning home, and one especially stood out for me. It said simply “Encourage Fluids.” Laughingly my Son asked me “What are you supposed to do mom, surround yourself with water bottles and keep telling the water how wonderful it is?” I laughed with him, and explained how it meant I was supposed to drink more fluids. As I thought about what my Son had said, I could not help but also think of Dr. Masaru Emoto‘s work in studying the water crystals that form in water after it is exposed to different words, like Love, Hate, Forgiveness, and so on. In Dr Emoto’s work he also has used music and prayers to effect changes in the water which can be view microscopically.

In light of the fact that all of us are composed largely of water, how do you think our interactions would be influenced if we all took it upon ourselves to encourage fluids, by sending Love and Light energy to all those around us. Suppose we took the time to smile more, hold a door for someone, or help pick up an item someone dropped for them. What if we choose to Be the one to say a kind encouraging word to others, let them know we care. What kind of world might we all create, by encouraging fluids today. I think it would be a very beautiful place, with each of you there.

Much Love to you all, forget not that your light is the one those around you are able to see by.
